Young People

Young People

We are blessed to have a good number of young people and children in our church to help disciple and equip for their every day lives. Within the church we have several ways for our teenagers and children to engage, ranging from midweek activities to Sunday morning groups.

On a Sunday morning all of our children and teenagers stay in the service for a period of time depending on their age. Our youth and children’s work are routed in experiencing God’s love for us and how we choose to respond to the love of God with our lifestyles.

Read on below to find out more about our Sunday groups, “Aliens”, and “The Point”, or contact our Youth Team Ministry Leader, Emma Nudd, on emma.nudd@broadway.im

We also have our weekly parent and toddler group, First Steps, which runs every Tuesday. All parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles and their babies/toddlers are welcome.

ALIENS

This is a midweek group for primary school aged children ranging from school years 3-6. With an amazing group of volunteers, we can get a lot into the time we spend together. Every time we meet we will play games, have a time of sung worship and prayer, followed by a themed discussion, with a craft or drama finishing our evening off.

Sporadically throughout the year we like to mix it up, with outings or different activities from the norm.

THE POINT

This is a midweek group for anyone in school years 7-13. Building a sense of community and fellowship is important for relationships and discipleship. Often we are more interested in growing when we are part of a community that is filled with genuine love and care. This is what we hope to achieve at The Point. It is an environment for our teenagers to learn and grow in who God is calling them to be.

And what group of teenagers exists without food? We always start with some sort of food together.

SUNDAY GROUPS

Family is precious. Children are not overlooked because they are young. We all need love and support. If it takes a community to raise a child, it takes a church to raise a disciple….so we start young!

Mini BiF (age 2 – Reception)

We believe that regardless of whether you can walk or talk God can still meet with you. Mini Bif is where we aim for our pre-schoolers to get a good to start in life by building a solid foundation based on who God is. This looks like lots of playing, bible stories and singing.

We have a dedicated team who will cherish and spiritually feed your child during their time with us.

Mini Bif is primarily for 2-5 year olds, however if you have a child younger than 2 you are welcome to join us, but you will need to stay with them. Separate from Mini Bif we have an area for under 2’s where you are also able to hear the service.

BiF (school years 1 – 6)

This is a dedicated group for our primary school aged children. Each week includes a Bible story, an activity or craft, games and snacks. The children take home a worksheet to remind them and inform their parents of the week’s theme.

TRIBE

This is a group for high school students in years 7-10. Each week’s theme is explored using a mix of discussion, video clips, games and practical activities.
